Around 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 have no symptoms, so twice weekly testing will help to prevent the spread of the disease and keep infection rates low.
Rapid ‘no symptom’ testing is available to everyone over 18 who lives or works in Bedford Borough, and home testing kits are available for collection.

If you’re asked to self-isolate by the Test and Trace services, you must stay at home and only leave your house to get tested.
We’ve increased our Test and Trace Support Payment for residents to £700. This payment is for people who are on a low income, in receipt of certain benefits and required to self-isolate. For more information please visit our website.
Now more than ever vaccines are proving their worth by helping us through the current COVID-19 pandemic. It shouldn’t be forgotten that there are a whole host of other preventable diseases out there that should be vaccinated against.
Vaccinations protect us, our families and communities from some seriously nasty diseases. Many of these diseases – such as MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella), whooping cough and shingles – can be both life-altering and life threatening. To prevent these diseases from spreading, we all need to make sure our vaccinations are up to date.
