| There is 1 week to go until the Bid4Better online voting event on Saturday 17th April at 2pm. If you would like to register to join the zoom event and have your votes count (details below) then please click on this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/ Do you think there should be more projects in the Bedford and Kempston urban areas to help reduce serious violence? Bedfordshire Police are giving £15,000 to community projects and it is up to YOU to decide how it is spent. The event is called Bid4Better and will be taking place on Saturday 17th April 2021 at 14:00 online via zoom. Members of the public, local groups and small charities have put in a bid for the money which has to be spent on either supporting families, improving communities or benefiting young people in reducing violence in the Bedford urban and Kempston urban areas. Bidders will then be presenting their ideas via a pre-recorded video to YOU the community at the online event and members of the community (YOU) shall vote on each bid as it is shown. The winning bid shall then receive the money that they bid for their project. If you would like to be a part of deciding which project should win the money, sign up to the below Eventbrite link to get tickets for the event and a zoom link shall be emailed to you nearer the time. Sign up for a place here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/ This is a really exciting opportunity for the community to give back and be involved in choosing how £15,000 of government money is spent locally. We hope to see you there, The Bid4Better planning group |
