SPREADING HELP
You will no doubt be aware that many charities are finding their income much reduced because their
normal fundraising events cannot happen at the moment, just at a time when the need for their
services is greatest.
This is CHRISTIAN AID WEEK, the biggest funding-raising time in the year for Christian Aid, when
churches in Sharnbrook would normally organise a house-to-house collection. As this is not possible
we are, as last year, asking for donations. People in Sharnbrook have always been very generous in
their support and last year we were able to send over £1,000.
The need for the help of charities like Christian Aid in poor countries around the world is going to be
even greater this year so whatever we can contribute from Sharnbrook is going to be valued.
We are again suggesting three ways to give. Mike Bonney, Treasurer at Sharnbrook Methodist
Church, has in previous years been responsible for collating and sending the donations from
Sharnbrook to Christian Aid. He is again willing this year to handle Sharnbrook donations, which can
be made in the following two ways:
Cash or cheque (made payable to Sharnbrook Methodist Church) donations can be dropped
in to Mike Bonney at 2 Lodge Close, Sharnbrook. Please place in an envelope marked
“Christian Aid”.
Bank transfer to Sharnbrook Methodist Church Account, Sort Code 544105 Account No
06812856 and please include “Christian Aid” as the reference.
