Coming soon to Bedford Borough Libraries…the Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge 2021!

This year the fun takes place in Wilderville. It’s a pretty cool place but our heroes who live there have been noticing some problems. Helped by their trusted animal companions, they’re ready to take action to save the natural world!

Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge starts on Saturday 10^th July and finishes on Saturday 11^th September. Children taking part can collect transformational stickers to add to a fold-out map of Wilderville. Each sticker will fix the environmental problems in each area and make Wilderville a better home for everyone! Children can also collect rewards for reading and taking part.

Library app

Fines were reintroduced on the 1^st of June so now it’s important to make sure you renew your loans if you can’t return them on time.

You can do this using our online catalogue, Arena, or you can download our app. Search for ‘Bedford Borough Libraries app’ in your app store, then log in with your library card and PIN. You can also connect your children’s library cards so you can manage them all in one place.

See what you have on loan, renew your items, or search and request titles on the catalogue to pick up at your chosen library.

Mobile Library back on the road

The Mobile Library has been back on the road with a revised timetable since April.

Due to the small space, customers can’t browse the shelves on the vehicle, but can get books by using the Select and Collect service or the request service, then pick them up from a chosen stop.
