Burglary Summary 13 – 27 August – Sent

Bedfordshire Police has advised Neighbourhood Watch of recent burglaries and attempted burglaries. Below are six incidents reported to us in the two weeks, 13 – 27 August 2021. We are pleased the numbers are low but any burglary is one too many. Please make sure your home is secure and that opportunities aren’t left.

40/42730/21 – Bedford Road, Wootton – 13/08/2021 02:25 – offenders have pulled up near the property and exited the vehicle, going up to the front door and ringing the doorbell. When they have had no response, they have attempted the door handle to the property. At this point, the householder has shouted and the offenders have run back to the car.
40/43600/21 – Beverley Grove, Bedford – occurred between Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th – forced rear doors, nothing stolen.
40/43667/21 – Lewes Gardens, Bedford – 18/08/2021 12:30 to 18/08/2021 17:00 – key safe damaged, and lock on rear door attempted.
BP-24082021-0332 – Hillesden Avenue, Elstow – offender/s have broken in through the rear door in the early hours of the morning.
BP-24082021-0177 – Hillesden Avenue, Elstow – tools have been stolen from the shed overnight. Tile cutter, hoover and cement mixer stolen.
BP-24082021-0357 – College Road, Bedford – male attempting to climb in the window, knocks over a flower pot, gets spooked and runs away. No entry, nothing stolen.
