Campaigns news – round up
Having long campaigned against the A6-M1 link road, CPRE Bedfordshire is extremely disappointed that the government has announced £32.7 million of funding for the road.
Why do CPRE Bedfordshire oppose the A6-M1 link road?
CPRE Bedfordshire has lodged an objection to a planning application for an Intensive Broiler Chicken Factory near Rushden for the production of around 2.4 million birds per year. We would not normally comment on an application in Northamptonshire but, in our view, this very substantial development proposal is likely to seriously impact the residents of Bedford Borough.

Brand new research commissioned by CPRE has shown that poor public transport, not enough affordable housing and feelings of loneliness mean that only two in five young people expect to stay in the countryside over the next five years. The report features Josh, 26, from Bedfordshire.
