The Higgins House – Free Entry

Leading artist, Arabel Lebrusan, brings a new display exploring our complex relationships with knives and their variety of roles.

Through photography, drawings, sculpture, jewellery and audio, this display delves into the commonly held perception of knives and whether the meaning of an object can be re-established and transformed to evoke different emotions.

There is not long left to visit the digital art installation by leading artist Mike Stubbs in the Airship Dreams: Escaping Gravity exhibition. This futuristic, immersive digital artwork explores Bedford’s airship heritage and the human desire for progress, adventure and the unknown.

Mo is a feisty, adventurous grandma who flies planes, parachute jumps, plays the bagpipes, sends monsters packing and is forever rescuing her beloved cat, Siamese Joe, who gets himself into all sorts of pickles.

Join Grandma Mo and Siamese Joe as they read fun stories about their adventures together. Suitable for ages 3-7.

The Mo-Joe picture book series will be on special offer and visitors will have the opportunity to get their copies signed by the author and illustrator, Mo Kerr and Nora Haikala.

In this session we will be sharing memories and stories about The Embankment in Bedford. You’re welcome to bring along any of your own photos to share with the group.
