Ability Blues – Multisports session

Starts this Saturday

The Ability Blues multisports / Sportzone programme makes a return on Saturday 7 October. The programme is designed for those with learning and physical difficulties, providing an opportunity for all children and young people to experience the benefits of being physically active.

Young Minds Yoga

YMY 

The calming mid week session for young people returns this Wednesday, October 4 at Robinson Pools and fitness. Specifically designed for young people aged 15-19 the sessions are designed to be inclusive and relaxing. Time away from technology and from studying to destress the mind.

The sessions run every Wednesday at 4pm. There’s no need to book in advance so just turn up on the day, look for the Mindful Sport flag in reception and register with the instructor, Lauren.

WMHD 

The Mindful Sport Team and our local mental health partners are hosting a health and wellbeing event to mark World Mental Health Day 2023.

There will be stalls with information, resources and free taster activities from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm in Harpur Square, Bedford Town Centre.

All are welcome to come down and to take join in with the taster activities.

Taster Activity Schedule

All Day – Table Tennis and Smoothie Bike

11.00 – 11.45am Gentle Yoga (Floor based / Seated) all welcome.

12.00 – 12.45pm Social Line dancing

1.00 – 1.45pm South Bath and percussion taster session

2.00 – 2.45pm Sound Bath workshop for wellbeing

Come down and meet the health and wellbeing practitioners from the East London Foundation Trust and local mental health charities.

Canoe Trail – Adventure School

October Half Term

Adventure School

 

Canoe Trail will once again be running the Adventure School Activity Club throughout the October half term holiday. It costs £35 per day or the discounted rate of £139 for five days. The club operates from 8.45am to 4pm daily, offering a range of outdoor activities including canoeing, kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, bush-craft, team challenges, indoor climbing, archery, airguns, axe throwing & high ropes.

October Half Term activities

AB act 

The sessions are run by our Autism Bedfordshire workers and volunteers, they are not respite and parents would need to stay with their children. However, they do provide an opportunity to meet other families and allow their children to come and play in a safe environment.
