Sharnbrook is fortunate to have thriving Scouts, Cubs and Beaver groups for boys and girls of all ages from 6 to 14, led by dedicated volunteer leaders and assistants.
The Sharnbrook Scout Group has the benefit of its own Scout Hut and exclusive use of a field for outdoor activities.
To support the Scouting activities of the Group, in common with Scout Groups throughout the country, a new Trustee Board is being formed to oversee the running of the Group in a safe and legal way.
Trustees are appointed for up to 3 years and the Trustee Board will meet approx 6 times a year. A few existing trustees will continue, but we urgently need to recruit some new trustees, who are interested in the welfare and development of children and young people in our village, and would be willing to offer their experience and skills.
We are looking for people with a variety of experience including in Charity administration, Risk management, Property management and Health & safety.
Could you offer your help as a Sharnbrook Scout Group Trustee to support the Leaders in delivering great programmes that give our local young people skills for life?
We also need someone to take minutes at Trustee Board meetings – could you help?
