Active Adults new programme starts next week, last chance to book

Active Adult 

Active Adults are eight-week sports courses aimed at over 35 year olds. They are ideal if you want to try a particular activity or have a go at something new. They are also for you if you tried a sport before and want to return to it in a relaxed, informal environment with other like-minded people. Full details of all the courses on offer

Young Minds Yoga

Starts again  Wednesday 4 October

YM Yoga 

The calming mid week session for young people returns on the October 4 at Robinson Pools and fitness. Specifically designed for young people aged 15-19 the sessions are designed to be inclusive and relaxing. Time aware from technology and from studying to destress the mind.

Every Wednesday at 4.00pm. No need to book in advance and just turn up on the day and register with the instructor Lauren.

World Mental Health Day

Tuesday 10 October

WMHD 

The Mindful Sport Team and our local mental health partners are hosting a health and wellbeing event to mark World Mental Health Day 2023.

There will be stalls with information, resources and free taster activities from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm in Harpur Square, Bedford Town Centre.

All are welcome to come down and to take join in with the taster activities.

Junior Aquathlon

Sunday 15 October – entries open

The Bedford Junior Aquathlon is a continuous swimming and running event for children in school years 3 to 11, with various distances to swim and run depending on age.

The Bedford Junior Aquathlon will take place on Sunday 15 October 2023 in both Robinson Pool and Bedford Park.

Street tag – Bedford

street tag 

Street tag is a fun, interactive app that motivates and rewards users to be active. As you run, walk or cycle you can collect virtual tags to move up the community or primary school leaderboard, potentially winning up to £150/£250 pounds in the community and primary school leaderboard respectively. There will also be a seasonal prize draw where one individual or a team will win £50 pounds.

Key benefits include: supporting 60 min of recommended activity a day, exploring Bedford Borough, discovering green spaces and living a happy and healthy life.
