Inclusive Activity Programme Training

for Sports and Physical activity sessions

The Inclusive Activity Programme (IAP), is a development opportunity which will upskill you, your employees, and volunteers on how to make activities fun and inclusive for everyone.

It is ideal for the sport and leisure sector, community groups and organisations, disability organisations, and individuals supporting disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.

The workshops are Free to attend, please email Alison Brightman for a booking form and places will be confirmed on receipt of a completed booking form.

Active Adults – new sessions starting week beginning 2 October – Book now

Active Adult 

Active Adults are eight-week sports courses aimed at over 35 year olds. They are ideal if you want to try a particular activity or have a go at something new. They are also for you if you tried a sport before and want to return to it in a relaxed, informal environment with other like-minded people. Full details of all the courses on offer

Ability Blues – Multisports Session

Starts 7 October

Ability CountsThe Ability Blues programme makes a return on Saturday 7 October. The programme is designed for those with learning and physical difficulties, providing an opportunity for all children and young people to experience the benefits of being physically active.

Tennis Course and Multi-Sports Course

Children’s Services, in partnership with Autism Bedfordshire and the Blues Foundation, are running two six week sports courses starting this week and running through to October.

Tennis at Riverside Tennis Club for ages 10 to 17 years – Tuesdays from 5.30 to 6.30 pm

Bedford Junior Aquathlon –

Sunday 15 October – Entries open

The Bedford Junior Aquathlon is a continuous swimming and running event for children in school years 3 to 11, with various distances to swim and run depending on age.

The Bedford Junior Aquathlon will take place on Sunday 15 October 2023 in both Robinson Pool and Bedford Park.
