The information below has been sent by the developers ahead of the works below.
Anglian Water wish to undertake water diversion works of their existing apparatus that runs as identified by a light blue dashed line below within land owned by Bellway and Redrow, ahead of construction works starting next year.
Their works will involve diverting the water pipe by following a new dark blue route as also shown below.
In order to undertake the works, Anglian Water require access for vehicles to turn and operate within the vicinity of the water pipe. In order to achieve this, we have been working with Bedford BC highways under a s.184 of the Highways Act to obtain temporary access across highway land to gain the access required by Anglian Water. The temporary access follows the proposed s.278 roundabout location into the site. The vegetation required to be removed is shown in red on the attached Tree Removal Plan. This will also involve the re-location of the lime sapling and we are agreeing this week a new location along Mill Road of this highway tree.
Timescales for the works are: –
- Advance warning signs & letter drops will be taking place on the 4th of September notifying residents that three way traffic lights will be in operation from the 11th to the 21st of September to facilitate the tree works & construction of the temporary access to allow for the AW diversion works.
- An ecologist from Aspect Ecology will be on site on the 11th September prior to any vegetation works being undertaken.
- Mida Civil Engineering Limited will be undertaking the temporary access works on behalf of Bellway and Redrow between Monday 11th September and completed by Friday 22nd September.
- Anglian Water will be undertaking water pipe diversion works onsite from the 25th September for a period of two weeks.
The trees to be moved/removed as indicated on the plan below.
