semlep eoiResilience and Innovation Business Grant

Growth Hub has launched a capital investment grant scheme for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The Resilience and Innovation business grant provides support to enterprises based in the South East Midlands who are looking to invest in their business leading to growth; to strengthen their business performance and resilience to respond to cost-of-living challenges; and to increase innovation levels and enhance sustainability, in support for the transition towards a net zero economy.

The total Resilience and Innovation grant fund is £1.9million. Grants can be between £5,000-£50,000 and can make up to 50% of capital.

Once the Expression of Interest form is complete, you will be contacted by a Growth Hub business adviser within five working days. If you are eligible, the business adviser will advise you to proceed to full application and share the application form with you. We strongly recommend that you read through all capital grant information and speak to one of the business advisers before proceeding with your Expression of Interest.

Please note: Growth Hub business advisers will be hosting mandatory monthly grant workshops to support applicants with their full application.  You will receive details of these workshops once your EOI has been submitted.

If you have any immediate questions, email: growthhub@semlep.com

The fourth round of grants closes at 5pm Friday 15 March.

govrnorsSchool Governors

Tuesday 23 April, 6-7.30pm, at the University of Bedfordshire (car parking will be available on site)

Bedford Borough Council are encouraging people to come along later this month and meet governors to find out what they do. School governors offer strategic guidance, rather than getting involved in the operational aspects of a school and the role involves challenging existing processes to drive school improvement. We would like to recruit new governors from all backgrounds that reflect our community. Bring your difference to make a difference.

For more details and to register your interest, contact Julia Newman, Officer for Governors Services at julia.newman@bedford.gov.uk
