Dear Resident
The bottle bank has been relocated to the layby on the A6 between Mill Road and Templars Way.
For context, it could not remain at the Fordham Arms while building works are carried out.
There are no other locations suitable in the village unless you know of any. We are open to suggestions but all other possible locations have been ruled out at present.
All and sundry are welcome to use it. The Parish Council receives a small amount every quarter based on the amount of glass recycled. So the more it is used, we can offset this against how much parish precept is required. We can have it emptied more frequently if needed, please contact me if you visit and it is full or nearly full.
Please try not to make a special journey but visit as part of a journey outside the village.
It is safer to use Mill Road and return via Templars Way so as not to cross the carriageway. Avoiding rush hour is recommended.
Any questions, please ask.
