Christmas crafts for your little elves!

We’re on the Christmas countdown!

It’ll be a busy couple of weeks, but we’re here, ready with Christmas books and magazines and lots of festive cheer! All libraries have free crafts for children, from Christmas card making to winter scratch art, plus Lego Club and special Christmas story-times!

All crafts and activities are FREE and there’s no need to book in advance. Find out what’s on at your local library.

FREE digital support at Bedford Central Library

Do you need help using a smartphone, tablet or computer?

The You Can Do IT! team from Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity is at Bedford Central Library every other Wednesday between 11am and 1pm; their next visit is 21st December. They can help you with:

Using the Internet safely
Sending and receiving e-mails
Making video calls to family and friends
Searching for information online
Joining online meetings and groups
Using the NHS App to access health services online
Accessing free library e-books, audiobooks and magazines.

Sessions are FREE to join and you don’t need to book. Find the team on the 2nd floor of the library or ask a member of staff to direct you.

Festive reading on the shelves and your device

From light-hearted fiction set against a snowy backdrop, to cookery books to help you plan the perfect Christmas, there’s something for everyone at the library.

If you’re traveling over the festive period or just like to have a good book at your fingertips, why not download some digital titles too? We have e-books and audiobooks from best-selling authors for adults and children. Plus, magazines with mouth-watering recipes, or step-by-step instructions on how to create a festive centrepiece for your table.

All free to borrow or download, you just need to be a member of the library.
