Campaigns news – working with you
CPRE Bedfordshire are delighted to be launching a new section for our website called ‘working with you’.

The new pages explore the ways in which we work with local action groups, parish councils and projects which enter our Living Countryside Awards. You’ll find lots of information, including case studies and links to resources. We’ll be continuing to develop these pages over the next few months so keep checking back!

April feature – Beyond the Great Ouse – exploring Bedfordshire’s other rivers
Bedfordshire’s best-known river is probably the Great Ouse which threads its way across the north of the county. However, Bedfordshire is home to more than one river and here we explore some of the walks and attractions along their routes.

CPRE Bedfordshire has written to the Mayor of Bedford, Dave Hodgson, raising a number of issues concerned with housing numbers, government policy and the OxCam Arc.

CPRE Bedfordshire has requested a call in for the crematorium in Flitwick as it is on Green Belt designated land.

CPRE Bedfordshire Photo competition
This year we’re looking for photos of people appreciating Bedfordshire’s plant life. To get your creative juices flowing, examples of pictures that would fit the theme include a close up of hands touching bark, boots in autumn leaves, people giving scale to a bluebell wood, or children sowing wildflower seeds.

CPRE Bedfordshire AGM & Talk
This event will take place on  Thursday 21st April at 7:30 pm, Flitwick Village Hall.

The talk is entitled ‘The Bedfordshire Great Ouse Valley: why it needs protection’ and our speakers are Simon Brown and John Strutt.
