Election News from Bedford Borough Council

This is a special elections update to help you understand your deadlines in the run-up to the elections on Thursday 4 July.

There are two elections planned: A General Election where all registered voters in Bedford Borough can vote, and a second for those who live in the ward of Wyboston due to a local council by-election.

Your deadlines

• Register to vote: Tuesday 18 June at 11:59pm
• Applying for a postal vote: Wednesday 19 June at 5pm
• Applying for Voter Authority Certificate: Wednesday 26 June at 5pm
• Applying for a proxy vote: Wednesday 26 June at 5pm

If you plan to vote in person, you will need to take valid photo identification to the polling station.
