Together for Bedford

The Harpur Trust Children’s Art Competition 

 

Interior shot of the galleryAn art exhibition featuring more than 100 pieces of artwork created by pupils from 40 schools across the borough runs throughout the summer until 8 September.

Children aged 4 to 18 created nearly 400 entries on the theme of Together For Bedford set by The Harpur Trust. The judging panel had a difficult task of selecting works to be hung in the exhibition that showcases the future potential of Bedford Borough’s artistic talent.

Summer Holiday Family Activities at The Higgins

Castle inspired wall hangings800 years ago Bedford Castle was under siege. Come and join in with a variety of castle themed fun and creative activities for the family using printing, collage, clay and more.

Workshops are aimed at 5 to 12 year olds and last an hour, booking is required.

Cecil Higgins Art Gallery is 75 years Old!- Join the celebratory tour on 25 July.

Join us, from 3-4pm to celebrate 75 years of Mr Higgins’ remarkable collection and learn more about its origins in this special tour with Keeper of Fine and Decorative Art.
