Sharnbrook Cub Scouts are in urgent need of a new Leader – can you help?

The present leader will be leaving at the end of the summer term and if a replacement cannot be found the Cub Section will have to close.  This would be a great shame as we have in Sharnbrook a thriving Beaver Colony for younger children and a Scout Troup for the older young people.

Cubs, aged 8 to 10½ years. meet on Wednesday evenings between 6.15pm and 7.15pm at the Scout Hut in Church Lane, with special events like days out and nights away scheduled throughout the year.

The Leader is responsible for managing the operation of the Cub Section, and with the support of one or more Assistant Leaders plans and delivers a programme of activities aimed at helping the Cubs to work towards a range of skill-boosting badges and awards.  There is a lot of online support available to help with session plans, ideas and resources, as well as safety and safeguarding.

If you think you might be interested in helping the children of the village in this way please email Paul Harley, chair of the Sharnbrook Scout trustee board, sharnbrookscoutchair@outlook.com for more information.

Thank you!
