Thank you to the residents who submitted concerns regarding the new roundabout on Mill Road. The Parish Council have been in contact with the Highways Team and have received the following feedback:
Update from the Highway & Developer Infrastructure Team at Bedford Borough Council: We are currently in the process of agreeing the Audit Brief for the Stage 3 Road Safety Audit. Usually, the Audit Team would carry out the audit within two-weeks and they then usually take another two-weeks to produce the report that then has to go to the Designer to suggest actions against any Recommendations made by the Audit Team and we then have to agree or disagree with those Recommendations as the Overseeing Organisation. The Stage 3 Road Safety Audit process could therefore take six-weeks to conclude. We will be raising the straight-lining of the junction as a specific item to be looked at by the Audit Team and we will see what suggestions come through.
The Parish Council will provide a further update towards the end of July or as soon as it is received from The Highway & Developer Infrastructure Team.
