Physical Activity Vision – Consultation

Bedford Borough Council is developing a new vision for physical activity for 2022-2030 called “Movement to Change”.

The vision will tackle inactivity and inequality and outlines a number of key priorities and themes which will provide a framework for tackling inactivity, as well as linking into wider developments such as future facility provision within the borough. Please use the following link tov view the proposed Physical Activity Vision (PDF).

The Borough Council are seeking the views of local residents, local sports clubs, organisations and other sport, leisure and physical activity providers to help shape this vision.

Yoga and Wellbeing in the Park

Sportzone / Ability Blues

Sportzone returns to the John Bunyan Sports and Fitness Centre, Mile Road, Bedford on Saturday 11th June between 10am and 12 noon. Initially for 6 weeks through to Saturday 16th July.

Sportzone is run in conjunction with the Ability Blues  inclusive sports programme for children with learning and mild physical disabilities aged between 7 and 14 years old.

British Canoeing Paddling Courses and Qualifications:

Build your skills and experience by undertaking one of the British Canoeing Courses and save 20% using the Code May22.

The “Discover Personal Paddling award” is a run in a day and the “Explore” is a two day course where you will learn lots about paddling in a relaxed and friendly way.
