After extensive consultation with the Hill Farm Developers and the Local Authority, we have received the following response from the Manager for Heritage and Planning Compliance at Bedford Borough Council:
We have now received further information from the developer and reviewed the application plans.
These trees were earmarked for removal to facilitate the new junction and are sited on Council land. They have removed them now to avoid the nesting season and there is no intention to undertake any further works.
The removal of the trees wouldn’t be development requiring planning permission so a breach hasn’t occurred and we will not be pursuing this matter.
