Weekly COVID-19 Snapshot
This week’s snapshot shows that 69 cases of COVID-19 were found locally in the 7 days up to 2 May, this is an increase of 25 on the previous week.
We are seeing an increase in cases locally with 39.8 cases per 100,000 in the population- up from 18.5 just two weeks ago.
With restrictions cautiously easing, if you are meeting people remember – it’s two households or a group of up to six people can now meet outdoors- and always keep a safe distance from those not in your household or bubble.
For the first time, the snapshot now shows the number of people who have received their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in Bedford Borough. Over 28,000 people have had their second dose so far- 18.1% of over 16s.
The second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine helps to provide longer-term protection and it’s important to keep your vaccination appointment when it is offered to you.
