Weekly Covid-19 Snapshot to 27.6.2021

Extract of this week's COVID-19 snapshot

This week’s snapshot shows 201 cases of COVID-19 locally in the week up to 27 June, a slight increase on last week.

Over half of our eligible population have now had two doses of their COVID-19 vaccination- protecting themselves and their families and friends from the virus.

You don’t even need to book an appointment to get your COVID-19 vaccination. Drop-in COVID-19 vaccinations are available for everyone aged over 18 at Bedford Heights, Manton Lane and Kidmans Surgical Chemist, Castle Road. For opening times please visit the BLMK website.

Got COVID-19 symptoms?

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, don’t use a rapid Lateral Flow Test – book a PCR test by visiting the Government website or by calling 119.

You and your household must isolate immediately. Help to isolate is available – visit our dedicated COVID-19 webpages to find out more.

Common symptoms of COVID-19 are:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

If you do not have one of the common symptoms, but still think you may have COVID-19 you may book a PCR test. Sometimes people with COVID-19 have other symptoms (for example a headache, tiredness or muscle aches), or no symptoms at all.

You can book a test by selecting “I’ve been told to get a test by my local council, health protection team or healthcare professional”.
