British Science Week at The Higgins

British Science Week at The Higgins

On Saturday 11th March The Higgins Bedford is celebrating British Science Week with a range of exciting and family friendly activities.

Families can join in with drop-in events such as; electric circuit-making workshops with Bourns and exploring plasma balls, lasers and microscopes with Bedford Modern School.

Community open day at our Brunel Road Depot

Families and residents are invited to an open day at our Brunel Road Depot (off Barkers Lane, Bedford), on Saturday 11th March from 11am to 2pm.

There will be demonstrations and access to a range of vehicles, including Refuse Collection, Recycling, Winter Maintenance, Pothole Repairs, and Street Cleansing vehicles, which will be parked in a dedicated area for the public to view, ask questions, and even get inside.

Live Longer Better, Bedford

Live Longer Better – Bedford, are physical activity sessions aimed at people aged 60 and over at different venues in Bedford Borough.

If you’re over 60 and are keen to make a fresh start, or just love to be active and social, Live Longer Better Bedford has something to suit you! Activities include swimming, gentle dance, badminton, archery, walking football, chair yoga, indoor bowls, and line dancing.

Sessions cost between £3 and £4 and there’s no need to book. Just turn up and pay cash on the day (except the bowling, swimming and Tai Chi, which is card payment only).
