Easter Opening Hours

Easter is almost here and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Visiting The Higgins Bedford is a great way to spend the Easter break, but please take note of our opening hours over the long weekend:
Good Friday 15 April: Closed
Easter Saturday 16 April: Open 11am-5pm
Easter Sunday 17 April: Open 2-5pm
Easter Monday 18 April: Open 2-5pm

Saturday Wellbeing returns to The Higgins Bedford with free activities to help improve general wellbeing. Come along and enjoy some down-time with an afternoon filled with a variety of relaxing and sociable activities:
Table Top Games
12pm – 4pm
Play with family, friends and other gamers in a range of old and new board games.
Aragon Lacemakers
12pm – 4pm
Aragon Lacemakers will be sharing their skills in Bedfordshire lacemaking. Their ‘have a go’ pillow will be ready for you to try your hand at this relaxing and rewarding craft.
Soundbath with Nathan Clegg
1:30pm – 2:30pm
Focus on the sounds and vibrations of individually played instruments to relax and unwind. Wear warm, comfortable clothes and bring a pillow/blanket if required. Donations welcome.
Tea Party Poetry with Satwinder Kaur
2:45pm – 4:15pm
Give a voice to your thoughts and feelings through poetry writing. No experience needed. Suitable for ages 14+

Sunday Crafternoons for Families

No Need to Book – Drop In
Enjoy the first of our monthly creative afternoons for families to enjoy together. Explore amazing art and fascinating artefacts around the museum and art gallery, then use your imagination and a range of media and materials to get arty.
Activities are suitable for under 12s and children must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in anytime during he afternoon. Please be aware that places are limited and there may be a wait to start. Find more sessions on The Higgins Bedford website.

Blunt Blades Workshop: Chicken on a Knife Edge

Cook along with Get Cooking tutor Anne Marie to create a yummy Chinese chicken recipe and meal for all the family to enjoy. Artist Arabel Lebrusan will also be joining in to talk about the ideas and stories behind the Blunt Blades display from the comfort of your own kitchen.
