We are very excited to launch our new timetable packed with activities and support services for families. From 2 September, families in Bedford Borough can look forward to a diverse range of sessions designed to engage, educate and support the community.
What’s New This Autumn?
Play and Learn Sessions The popular Play and Learn sessions are back! We have the Cruiser sessions where you can come and self-weigh baby. The Toddler sessions are for little ones on the move where you can get support with successful transitions into pre-school and other settings. These sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for children to explore, play, and learn in a safe and stimulating environment.
Parenting Support Workshops Parenting can be challenging, and Bedford Borough Family Hubs are here to help. This autumn, they are offering enhanced support sessions for parents, including workshops on positive parenting techniques, managing toddler behaviour, and building strong family relationships. Whether you’re a new parent or have older children, there is something for everyone.
Health and Wellbeing Sessions In response to the growing demand for health-related services, the centres are introducing new health and wellbeing sessions. These will include baby massage classes, postnatal support groups, and Wellbeing in the Wild. These sessions aim to support parents in caring for both their own and their children’s health and development.
Early Years Education and School Readiness With a focus on early years education, the autumn timetable includes sessions dedicated to preparing children for school. From language development to social skills, these classes are designed to ensure that children have the best possible start to their educational journey.
