Our libraries are open!

All Bedford Borough Libraries have reopened! You can now visit your local library for limited browsing, computer use, and essential printing.

The libraries have been rearranged to allow social distancing and there is a one-way system in place. Some areas of stock are not accessible, so bundles of children’s books have been put together for you to pick up and borrow.

Mobile Library on the road

The Mobile Library has been back on the road with a revised timetable since the 12th April.

Due to the small space, customers can’t browse the shelves on the vehicle, but can get books by using the Select and Collect service or the request service, and pick them up from a chosen stop.

E-books, audiobooks, and magazines with Libby

Our customers can now find free digital content with the award winning Libby service.

Download the Libby app, search for your library and log in using your library card and PIN. Find e-books and audiobooks for all the family, look for new and popular titles, or search by subject. Libby also provides access to thousands of magazine titles, with backlists available too.
